10 Night Celebrity Alaska Cruise aboard the Millennium
10 Night Cruise-tour of Alaska aboard the Celebrity Millennium.
Departing from Anchorage, Alaska, you will spend your first 2 days on land with your Tour Director before going to sea. Here is a basic look at the itinerary:
Day 1: Anchorage, Alaska. Enjoy everything the town has to offer.
Day 2: Anchorage/Talkeetna, Alaska. You will take a morning coach to Talkeetna, traveling through the Matsu Valley. Not only will you see the Iditarod Headquarters, but you will also make a stop in Wasilla to visit the Dorothy Paige Museum of cultural and historical heritage.
Once in Talkeetna, you will have time to do your own exploration of this town at the base of Denali (Mt. McKinley). Make sure to bring your camera, the views of the Alaska Range are breathtaking. You will return to Anchorage for the night aboard the Wilderness Express, Celebrity’s own glass-domed traincars.
Day 3: Explore Anchorage by daylight, first visiting the Alaska Native Heritage Center to garner a better knowledge of the first Alaskans, and spend the afternoon exploring on your own. After lunch, the group will travel to Alveska for the night. Your afternoon will be spent at the Wildlife Conservation center, and you will sleep in the luxurious Hotel Alveska.
Day 4: Greet the day with a trip 2,300 feet above the Alveska valley on their tramway. Then travel to Seward, AK, where you will board the Celebrity Millennium cruise ship.
Day 5: The Millenium sails from Seward to the Hubbard Glacier, where there will be a cruising stop from 2-6 p.m.
Day 6: Dock in Juneau for the day where you can hike, bike, kayak, fish, go for a whale watch, visit Mendenhall Glacier, or enjoy any other number of things the city has to offer. Depart 9 p.m.
Day 7: Spend your day in Skagway, Alaska. Stop by the Gold Rush Museum, enjoy a day hike, go dog sledding, or do the walking tour recommended by the city. Depart 8:30 p.m.
Day 8: Tender to Icy Strait Point, Alaska for a quick visit. Go on a sightseeing tour, or enjoy one of the longest zip lines in the world. Depart 3 p.m.
Day 9: Ketchikan, Alaska. Spend the day on a guided walking tour or kayaking, boating, snorkeling, or hiking. Depart 6 p.m.
Day 10: Inside Passage (Cruising)
Day 11: Arrive in Vancouver, British Colombia, 7 a.m.
