Frankfurt, Germany Group Tour

Frankfurt, Germany may just be the smallest large city on the planet. It is an incredibly international city; or the 670,000 city inhabitants, 1 in 3 Frankfurt residents does not hold a German passport. The city is the largest financial centre on the continent, and is home to the European Central Bank. Split by the River Main, Frankfurt is tied with London for the most skyscrapers behind Paris (the former two have 10, the later 14). Be sure to see the tallest, the Commerzbank Tower and Messeturm. Other sites not to be missed are St. Bartholomeus’ Cathedral, a 14th century Gothic building and the main church of Frankfurt, Roemer, the city hall, St. Paul’s Church, a national historic monument and the seat of the first democratically elected German Parliament, and The Alte Oper, or Old Opera House. Though still a concert hall, most operas are now performed in the Oper Frankfurt. For group package deals for seats at the Oper Frankfurt, just indicate on your trip request form that your travel group is interested in seeing the opera, and your Tripology travel agent will take care of the rest for you. Your tavel group should also be sure to shop Zeil, the main market area in Frankfurt. The city was home to Goethe, and not only does he have a University, but there is also a Goethe Tower built entirely out of wood. The Goethe House and Museum is another must-see on your upcoming group vacation. Many of the world’s finest cars are produced in either Frankfurt or nearby communities. If your group contains car affecionados, be sure to let Tripology travel agents set up your visit to Fiat, Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, or Jaguar headquarters.

And of course, it is imperative that you group enjoy Frankfurters.

A note on the dance scene: For those of you that enjoy cutting a rug, Frankfurt is the home of trance music. It was created here in the early 1990’s and is still turning out some of the greatest DJs and producers in the scene.

The city is great to visit year round, though is most enjoyable in the summer months (from May-October).  Let Tripology travel agents plan your upcoming group vacation from booking discounted group airfares to group rates for hotels, museums, meals, car rentals, and anything else your group may need.   Tripology travel agents are standing by to plan your best group vacation yet.
