St. Barths Honeymoon Vacation

St. Barths is an 8-mile island in the French Caribbean that is not of volcanic origin.  This hilly island’s origin is actually that of ancient coral reefs and is an excellent honeymoon destination.

There are around 20 beaches on St. Barths, making this lovely little island the perfect location for beach-going newlyweds. All beaches on St. Barths are free and open to the public. The beaches here have no dress code, so if you choose to go sans bathing suit, make sure you lather up good.  You don’t want to have a sunburn on your St. Barths honeymoon vacation.

There is a lot more to do on your St. Barths honeymoon vacation than simply lie around all day on the beach. You can also go snorkeling, kayaking, diving, sailing, surfing, windsurfing and water skiing. No St. Barths honeymoon vacation would be complete without a visit to Gustavia, the red roofed island capital.  The women here don bonnets that come down to their shoulders, just like they did in France in generations past.

French is the official language of St. Barths, but English is widely understood. While it’s recommended to bring euros on your St. Barths honeymoon vacation, the dollar is accepted and is growing in its popularity. St. Barths dry season runs from December through May and is considered the best time to visit.  Be sure to book your St. Barths honeymoon vacation at least a year in advance, otherwise your villa options will be limited.
