British Virgin Islands Honeymoon Vacation

With its laid back atmosphere, white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, it’s no surprise that the British Virgin Islands is one of the most popular honeymoon destinations in all of the Caribbean.

A helicopter ride over these lovely islands is a great way to start any British Virgin Islands honeymoon vacation.  You and your loved one will marvel as you fly over the National Park of Fallen Jerusalem, Cooper Island, Ginger Island and the famous Wreck of Rhone. No British Virgin Islands honeymoon vacation would be complete without a trip to The Baths.  Located on Virgin Gorda near Spanish Town, the Baths are really grottos formed by giant granite boulders scattered along the ocean. It’s a great place to take a romantic swim and a must for any British Virgin Islands honeymoon vacation.  Newlyweds will also want to take dip in the natural Jacuzzi located on the east end of Jost Van Dyke.

The Wreck of the Rhone and Salt Island are the best diving locations and a perfect place to use an underwater camera. Pictures taken here will look great in your British Virgin Islands photo album.  If snorkeling is more your speed, be sure to check out Smuggler’s Cove, Sandy Spit, Peter Island and Dead Chest Island.  Don’t forget to visit Norman Island Caves, former pirate den and inspiration for Robert Lewis Stevenson’s famous novel, Treasure Island.

The best time to book your British Virgin Islands honeymoon vacation is between the months of December and April.  Divers should avoid traveling to the British Virgin Islands during the summer months because of reduced visibility during this time.
