Australia Honeymoon Vacation

Australia is the largest island in the world and the only island that is both a country and a continent.  With its massive size, about that of the continental United States, and its extremely low population density, around 5 people per square mile, it’s no wonder newlyweds flock from all over the world to enjoy an Australia honeymoon vacation.

When you think about an Australia honeymoon vacation, the Outback is the first place that comes to mind.  Nothing says romance like you and your loved one roughing it in the Outback.  If you’re lucky, you might even see a few kangaroos. If roughing it outdoors is not your thing, try a romantic island getaway on nearby Tasmania.

No Australia honeymoon vacation would be complete without a trip to the Great Barrier Reef.  It is the largest reef system in the world and has become synonymous with Australia.  Beach lovers will want to visit Bondi Beach in Sydney, Bells Beach in Victoria and Surfers Paradise located on Queensland’s famous Gold Coast. Don’t forget your camera when heading to the Sydney Opera House.  Pictures taken in front of this Australian landmark would be a great addition to any Australia honeymoon vacation photo album.   Refrain from drinking alcohol until after you climb the Harbor Bridge in Sydney, as all climbers must pass a Breathalyzer test prior to beginning their trek.

The best time to book your Australia honeymoon vacation is in September and October, when it is warm enough to hit the beaches and cool enough to enjoy the Outback.
