Nestled between India and China, in the heart of Southeast Asia, is the romantic country of Thailand.  With its cozy tropical islands, bustling big cities, mountainous jungles and Buddhist temples, it's no wonder newlyweds travel from all over the world to honeymoon here.

A sail along the canals of Bangkok, known as the “Venice of the East,” is a great way to start you Thailand honeymoon vacation. Be sure to take your camera when visiting Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn.  Pictures from this landmark will make a lovely addition to your Thailand honeymoon vacation photo album. Phuket is the most romantic island in all of Thailand and a must for any Thailand honeymoon vacation. If you can, try to book your Thailand honeymoon vacation during a full moon so you can be part of the full moon party on Koh Pangan beach on Samui.  Don’t forget to visit the Thai elephant conservatory center near Lampang Tung Kwian.  It is the best place in Thailand to watch elephants, the symbol of the Thai monarchy.

The Baht is the official currency of Thailand, though the US dollar is widely accepted.  Central Thai, often referred to as Bangkok Thai, is the official language of Thailand, though English is spoken in many hotels. Don’t drink the tap water anywhere in Thailand, including in your hotel. The best time of year to book your Thailand honeymoon vacation is from mid October through late February.  This is also high season in Thailand, so be sure to book far in advance.
