Brazil Honeymoon Vacation

Brazil is a South American country known for its natural beauty and passionate people.  It is therefore no surprise that newlyweds from all over the globe choose Brazil as their honeymoon destination.

While in Rio de Janeiro , be sure to visit the statue of Christ the Redeemer.  This giant statue, located on the top of the Corcovado Mountain, is one of the 7 wonders of the world and is truly a must see. Watching the sunset at the Brazilian desert known as Lencois Maranhenses is a great way to add some romance to your Brazil honeymoon vacation.  You can also ride on horseback through the wet fields of Pantanal or go kayaking along a tributary of the Amazon River.

No Brazil honeymoon vacation would be complete without a trip to Carnival.  This amazing festival starts 40 days before Easter and signals the beginning of Lent.   Pictures of the numerous parades and intricate costumes at Carnival would make a lovely addition to your Brazil honeymoon vacation photo album, so don’t forget your camera.

Be sure to get vaccinated for yellow fever before heading on your Brazil honeymoon vacation.   Credit card fraud is quite common here, so make sure you pay in cash. The official currency is the Real, though the US Dollar and the Euro are widely accepted. Portuguese is the official language of Brazil, though English is spoken at tourist destinations. The Brazil summer, which runs from December through March, is the best time of year to book your Brazil honeymoon vacation.
