Cook Islands Honeymoon Vacation

Located in the South Pacific between Tahiti and Fiji, the Cook Islands are actually a group of 15 islands divided into 6 northern islands and 9 southern islands.  With their white beaches, blue lagoons and lack of tourism, it’s no wonder newlyweds flock from all over the world to enjoy a Cook Islands honeymoon vacation.

Rarotonga is the largest and most popular of all the Cook Islands and is a great place to start your Cook Islands honeymoon vacation.  There are no snakes, wild animals or venomous insects on this island, making it the perfect location for a romantic hike.   Aitutaki is the second most popular island and home to some of the most beautiful lagoons in the world.  The lagoons here have a visibility of over 100 feet and are filled with brightly colored fish and coral.  A hike to the top of Aitutaki to watch the sunrise or sunset is the epitome of romance and a must on any Cook Islands honeymoon vacation. Couples who like to snorkel will want to visit Tikioki Beach, known for its world class snorkeling. No Cook Islands honeymoon vacation would be complete without experiencing “Island Night.”  On this night, held at least once a week, you and your loved one can watch native dancing, drumming and singing while feasting on local cuisine.

Maori is the official language of the Cook Islands, but English is widely spoken. April, May, September and October are the best times of year to book your Cook Islands honeymoon vacation.
