England Honeymoon Vacation

England, the largest country in the United Kingdom, is a European country that is chock full of history.  Whether you and your loved want to explore an ancient monument or visit the home of one of England’s many famous writers, an England honeymoon vacation has it all.

While in London, be sure to catch a performance of the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Globe Theater. This acting company is one of the best in the world and is a must see on any England honeymoon vacation. Don’t forget your camera when heading to Buckingham Palace.  Pictures of the changing of the guard would make a lovely addition to any England honeymoon vacation album. Harry Potter fans will want to visit King’s Cross and take a picture next to the 9 ¾ platform sign.  No England honeymoon vacation would be complete without a visit to massive Paleolithic monument known as Stonehenge.  History buffs will also want to visit Hadrian’s Wall, a World Heritage site as well as York Minster, the largest Cathedral in Europe.  Sports enthusiasts will want to check out a soccer (football) match in either Manchester or Liverpool.

A sunset cruise along the Thames River is a great way to add some romance to your England honeymoon vacation.  You can also go sailing on Lake Windermere, England’s most famous lake, or opt to stay in one of England’s many castle turned hotels. The best time of year to visit England is in September, when the weather is temperate and the crowds are at a minimum.
