Kenya Honeymoon Vacation

Kenya is a country in East Africa known for its abundant wildlife.  It is therefore no surprise that animal lovers travel from all over the world to experience a Kenya honeymoon vacation.

A boat ride on Lake Naivasha is a great way to get up close and personal to the hippos, birds and other wildlife that frequent this lake and is a must on any Kenya honeymoon vacation.  At Hell’s Gate National Park, you and your loved one can walk right up to wildlife while enjoying the picturesque gorges and steaming hills.  The Laikipia Plateau is still unknown to most tourists and is perfect for the couple in search of a more secluded safari destination.

Don’t forget to watch the millions of wildebeests and zebras migrate through the Masai Mara Game Reservation during their annual post-rainy season migration in July and August.  Newlyweds looking to add some more romance to their Kenya honeymoon vacation can watch this migration at dawn from the comfort of a private hot air balloon.

Always drink bottled water and avoid fruit, salads and any other foods that have been washed.  Be sure to get vaccinated for Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus, Meningitis, Diphtheria, Yellow Fever and Polio 4-6 weeks   before heading on your Kenya honeymoon vacation.  Don’t travel to Kenya during the rainy season, which runs from April to June and October to December. Instead opt to book your Kenya honeymoon vacation during the dry season, which runs from January to February and July to August.
