Destination Wedding Tuscany, Italy

If you are looking for classic romance for your destination wedding, Europe is the place to go.  And what better location than the home of love itself for your big day?  Located on the central west coast of Italy, Tuscany is the perfect region for your upcoming destination wedding.
Summer is the best time of year for your Etruscan destination wedding, as there are many festivals in the region.
Sienna is famous for its Il Palio horse race, run on July 2 and August 16 each year.  The race is serious business; affiliations with the horses representative of city wards are almost as important as the Sienese family ties.  The Corteo Storico pagent held just prior to the race is another attraction not to be missed.
Lucca is a small Etruscan town full of Gothic architecture and winding cobblestone paths made for a romantic afternoon stroll with your loved one.   The birthplace of Puccini is still guarded by its ancient defensive walls.  See one of the many operas performed throughout the summer as part of the annual Puccini festival.
Chianti is an ideal place to toast your future together.  Stay at one of the many vineyards famous for the bold red vintage, then make your way to Florence.
The birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and home of much of the world’s most renowned art, there is no lack of beauty in the capital of Tuscany.  The Uffizi Gallery is the most famous in Florence, and houses Boticelli’s Birth of Venus as well as many Raphael pieces.  After wandering the corridors, pack a lunch and head over to the Pitti Palace, home of the Medici family.  The lush Boboli Gardens make for a great picnic setting.
