Destination Wedding Costa Rica

If you and your loved ones are nature lovers, Costa Rica will suit you well for your destination wedding or honeymoon location. Making up only .03% of the earth’s surface, Costa Rica contains 6% of the earth’s biodiversity. The biodiversity includes wild orchids, dolphins, and hundreds of miles of rainforest, and equals immense beauty-- a rare opportunity for you and your destination wedding photographer.

In Costa Rica, it is natural to want to spend as much time as possible exploring the outdoors. You and your loved one can spend a life affirming day going on one of many tours through the rainforest, which is home to 1,300 species of orchids and 2,000 species of butterflies. You may also want to take a river trip down one of the many mountain run off waterways or go wind surfing in lake Arenal, which is, in the dry season, known as one of the top windsurfing spots in the world.

One can’t speak of Costa Rica without mentioning its innumerable beaches, the length of which stretches out over 1100 miles. You and your loved one can spend a romantic evening on a beach covered in white, pink, black or golden sand. Whatever suits your mood. And, of course, as you plan your destination wedding you may want to consider saying your vows on the beach. One of the most developed areas is the Guanacaste coast, but if you want something a little less populated, you may want to try out the more secluded beaches of the south Pacific coast.

The best time to plan your destination wedding trip to Costa Rica is November to late April during the dry season.
