Destination Wedding Acapulco, Mexico

The first resort town in Mexico, Acapulco is steeped in history but still has much to offer you and your fiancé for you upcoming destination wedding.  Whether you are looking to enjoy romantic walks through town, snorkel, swim, or even cliff dive, Acapulco has something for you.
On a semi-circular bay, the city is known for its' spectacular beaches.  Most are just off of “La Costera,” the main road through town.  Try visiting Papagayo, Caleta, Tamarindos, or Revolcadero.
Whether you choose to marry on the beach or in a church, Acapulco is a beautiful place for a destination wedding.  The town square is Zocalo, and has beautiful fountains, tree-lined promenades, and a more local flavor than other parts of the city.  The town cathedral is in Zocalo, as are many dining and drinking options.  Stay through the evening for a glimpse into the local nightlife scene.
Cliff diving is also popular in the area; take a dive with your loved one, or just watch from La Quebrada, on the Isla de la Roqueta.  Get to the Isla by water taxi or glass-bottom boat.  You can also golf, deep sea fish, or visit the Pie de la Cuesta lagoon for a romantic walk along the Pacific sands.
If this sounds like your ideal destination wedding, Acapulco is the place for you.  Tripology can take the stress out of destination wedding planning by securing group airfare, the best rates at all-inclusive resorts, and whatever else your wedding party may need to give you a Mexico destination wedding to remember.

A note for springtime weddings:  Acapulco is the #2 spring break destintation in Mexico.  If you are planning to wed sometime in March, be aware that the beaches will be full of (most likely inebriated) youngsters.
