Destination Wedding Auckland, New Zealand

Known for their kindness the world over, Kiwis are indeed a welcoming bunch.  And what better way to get to know New Zealanders than by spending time in their largest city, Auckland?
On the North Island of New Zealand, Auckland is known as the “City of Sails” due to the vast number of yachts that call Waitemata Harbor home.  Charter a boat for your entire wedding party and travel to nearby Waiheke Island for some wine tastings.   You can get married in the vineyards, with a reception out in wine country, as well.
Once you’ve shared your vows, come back to Auckland and visit Sky Tower.  The tallest tower in the Southern Hemisphere is full of gastonomical delights and astronomical views.  Or, for the truly courageous, you can base-jump from 192m up.
There are loads of things to do on your destination wedding Auckland, from visiting art galleries to zoos, museums to gardens and markets.  Shop High Street for some designer duds by the best Kiwi and international designers, or head up One Tree Hill or Mt. Eden to see views of the city from a volcano! A great day excursion from the city is to the Waitakere Range, home of waterfalls and beautiful (desolate) beaches.  Your wedding party should also head to Goat Island, one of the globe’s first no-take marine reserves.  Established in 1975, the fish are now so comfortable here that they jump up to your hand to say hello.  Another renowned reserve is the Poor Knights reserve, whose subtropical caves make it one of the top 10 diving locations in the world.
Whether you are looking to stay in a Bed & Breakfast, hotel, or rent an apartment for you wedding party, Auckland is a great wedding destination for the more adventurous couple.
