Destination Wedding St. Maarten

Imagine this: you, your fiancé, and your best friends dancing until sunrise. You get warm from continually cutting a rug, so you step out onto the nightclub balcony, where you are cooled down by the sea breeze embracing you like a blanket. Palm trees catch the moonlight to cast shadows upon the sand below you, and as you look out to the glistening Caribbean, you think: “What better, more beautiful place to get married than St. Maarten?”

The southern half of the smallest divided island in the world, St. Maarten is Dutch and much more highly developed than its French northern neighbor. Don’t worry though; almost all of the Islanders speak English. The capital of St. Maarten, Phillipsburg, is known for it’s shopping and is a port stop on many Caribbean cruises. To get away from the droves, stay in a smaller town on the Island. Cupecoy, known for its beaches, is one great option. Cupecoy is an isthmus on the far eastern side of the island and home to one of the few nudist beaches on the island. Another famous beach is Maho Bay. People visit to watch the planes soar overhead, but be careful! They do come close, as it is directly south of the airport.

There are 9 casinos on the island in which to try your luck (Atlantis World is the Cupecoy casino). High season on the island is December-April. Whether you are looking to stay in a hotel, beach resort, or are looking for an all-inclusive destination wedding package, Tripology travel agents can help you plan the dream St. Maarten destination wedding getaway.
