Charming Hotel in Amsterdam

When I stay in Amsterdam, for business or pleasure, I prefer smaller boutique hotels, rather than a large business-oriented property.

My favorite is the Grand Albus, a nice, clean 3-star hotel.  It is in a superb, central location near to the flower market and Rembrandtplein.

The Albus Grand Hotel Amsterdam is ideally located for both the sites and the bustling nightlife, as there are many bars, restaurants and cafés in the immediate area. The lobby is bright and welcoming, with a small seating area and there is a stylish, new café offering a refreshing option for light dining or for a relaxing drink. Bedrooms vary in size but are all pleasantly decorated and comfortable. A modern hotel with high standards.

Within a 20 minute walk you will find restaurants, theaters, cafes, museums and shops.  A top entertainment area is Rembrandt Square, which is a 1 minute walk from the hotel.

The floating flower market is across the street. Trams and busses are just a few feet away from the front door.  The hotel opened a just a few years ago; the rooms are comfortable.  There is internet access and modem point in each room.  There is an elevator.

The airport transfer service drops you off across the street at the Jolly Carlton Hotel.

Rates are reasonable for Amsterdam.  Prices start at $193 per room for two (including breakfast and taxes).
