Visiting Adana, Turkey
Adana does not warrant a vacation stop of its own, but as many flights come from Istanbul to the city, chances are you’ll be at least passing through on your Eastern Turkey vacation. Buy it in a bottle, or, if you dare, from one of the street vendors selling it out of large plastic bags.
English is less of a problem in Adana than in other parts of Kurdistan. Incirlik, a NATO Air Force base, is heavily inhabited by American soldiers and found on the outskirts of town.
