Grosvenor Hotel London--historic hotel in heart of London

The historic Grosvenor Hotel London is perched in an enviable location in central London. It’s on Buckingham Palace Road and literally around the corner from Victoria Station, a hub for all public transportation, and a short walking distance to most major London landmarks and the theatre district.

This stylish 4* hotel features a grand lobby with vaulted ceilings, crown molding, polished oak banisters, and marble floors.

The concierge and reception staff are cordial and efficient. Its Chez Girard restaurant is open for all meals, and the breakfast buffet is bountiful with fruits, cereals, hash browns, and of course, English sausages. The Club Bar is a cozy and friendly pub to unwind with a pint of British ale or glass of wine.

Accommodations are satisfactory but can range in size from sufficient (bordering on cramped) to spacious. Rooms in the original main building are very large, and the bathrooms are big enough for a party. However, the original rooms have an overhead fan but no air conditioning. Rooms in the newer wing are much smaller but have more updated bathrooms, air conditioning, and data ports. Keep that in mind if traveling during the hot, sticky months and decide if A/C or a larger space is a higher priority for you.

This is an excellent property from which to base your London stay. It provides a terrific value in traditionally pricey London and is centrally located to most landmarks. With the proximity of Victoria Station, all of London is but a short bus or Tube ride away, making Grosvenor Hotel London very convenient for easy sightseeing. Affordability, convenience, and polished service make Grosvenor Hotel a winner.
