This modern, stylish hotel is in central London, occupying a perfect spot for views and sightseeing. Located on the Albert Embankment directly across the Thames River from Big Ben and the Parliament Buildings and Westminster Abbey, the Park Plaza is a stone’s throw from the London Bridge, the London Eye, and access points for Thames River scenic cruises.

By day, sightseeing is a snap from this vantage point. And by night, the views of iconic London are nothing short of spectacular.

The interior of this hotel is expansive, clean, fresh, and very chic. Check-in was a breeze with the efficient and friendly Reception staff; the concierge was eager to please, helpful, and extraordinarily patient with my endless questions on the logistics to an out-of-town destination. A complimentary computer terminal in the lobby is a lifesaver for those traveling without their laptops, and the entire hotel is wired for complimentary Wi-Fi access.

The chic décor evident in the public areas extends to the accommodations in monochromatic schemes of beige and cream. Accommodations featured deep beds with soft duvet comforters, desk and chair (with numerous data ports), an easy chair, a large combo dresser with drawers for clothes and cupboards for cable/DVD, minifridge, tea/coffee making supplies and the requisite flat screen plasma TV. The bathroom is very large for European standards, with separate glass-enclosed shower from the extra deep, extra long soaking tub. Loads of counter space in the bathroom is a real plus, especially for women who tote cosmetics and hair and skin supplies. The bathroom continues the clean, uncluttered look with polished granite and chrome and glass.

It’s a forward-thinking hotel in terms of décor and amenities. And its restaurant and nightclub are also touted for the innovative cuisine and lively attitude.

The Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel is definitely worthy of your consideration for a London vacation.
