Jurys Inn Liverpool

Set next to the Albert Docks in famous Liverpool, the Jurys Inn is a comfortable respite for those wishing to indulge in Beatles-mania, explore the history of this port, or use a jump-point for venturing into Wales or the Isle of Man.

Rooms are large with queen and twin beds, large desk with flat screen plasma TV, and data ports. The well-equipped bathroom had a nice-sized tub and Gilchrist & Soames bath amenities. Tea and coffee-making facilities were a plus for an afternoon cup of tea or a quick early morning cup of java.

The dining room is open for all meals, but other dining (and clubbing) venues are close by. The staff are cordial and efficient in all our encounters.

There is much to see around the Liverpool port: the aforementioned Albert Docks house numerous shops and restaurants, so food is never far away. Numerous maritime museums are close by as are the ferries crossing the Mersey River (yes, that Mersey, made famous in the ’07 hit by Gerry and the Pacemakers). Naturally the downtown area is rife with Beatles references, nightclubs, music venues, pubs, and shops. This gritty town enjoys its reputation for cutting edge proclivities, whether in music, art, architecture, culture, or style, so there’s always something new to see or do. The Liverpool cathedral, the fifth largest in the world, should not be missed.

While the Jurys Inn Liverpool is technically in Merseyside, the pulsing center of Liverpool is a short walk or drive away, making this property an economical and convenient choice for lodging in this region.
