Kona Airport - Children activity!!!
There is a small but very packed museum with tons of hands on activities for children. This is the Onizuka Center at the Kona Airport.
Go to the Kona airport early and check your bags then take the kids to spend some quality time learning about the life of an astronaut. There are mementos from his life before the Challenger accident, and this small museum is dedicated to his memory.
It is air-conditioned - so a good place to enjoy a hot afternoon while waiting for a flight!
