Babymoon on a Budget: Hob Nob in San Francisco

While planning a mid-November swing through the Bay area, we came across an exceptional deal at one of San Francisco's most iconic hotels - The Fairmont. Perched atop Nob Hill and home to the world-famous Tonga Room, this grand historic hotel is ideal for November babymooners on a budget.

The numbers
We checked rates for a three night stay from November 19 - 22 and found a courtyard view room at for $129 per night; a city view room for $159 per night and a deluxe panoramic view room for $199 per night. Although these rates require pre-payment and they don't include taxes and fees, it's still an excellent value.

Good news, bad news
We love the views from The Fairmont but keep in mind that this hotel is indeed at the top of a hill. Be prepared to take advantage of public transit and taxis if the baby decides he or she can't pull their own weight back up the hill after sightseeing. Of course we see this as a perfect opportunity to slow down, order room service, enjoy the Frette linens and book a body scrub at the spa.
