Valencia Spain

Valencia, "City of Arts and Sciences" is not usually on any first time visitor to Spain's agenda but there are many reasons why it should be. This beautiful city spread along the shore of the Spanish Mediterranean is inviting and full of charm. With the orange tree as its symbol, it is bathed in warmth and sunshine all year. The ancient city holds marks left by the Romans and Arabs along with modern churches and palaces. Its central market is one of the most colorful in Spain. Outside the destroyed walls of the center, Valencia has captured the old riverbed and turned it into miles of gardens along with the ultramodern ine Arts Museum and the City of Arts and Sciences - an architectural masterpiece.  Life in the city spreads down the the seafront with the harbor area and beaches. Valencia is of course home to paella and you can enjoy this feast for the eyes and palate at restaurants all over the region.

So put Valencia in your Spanish itinerary and you certainly will not be disappointed.
